If I had to
choose a specific time and place it would be in the past and in South Korea.
As I have
talked about in previous blogs, I really like Asian culture. I would like to
travel to the Joseon dynasty, this was a dynastic kingdom that lasted around 5
centuries, I never really liked princesses, but when I knew the Asian culture,
how princesses and queens dressed and all the gadgets they used to look more
beautiful than normal, really captivated my attention. I would not go to tell
them what is in the future, but to observe more closely the experiences of
women. Those were times where misogyny was completely normal, and where social
classes were the most important thing. I would not stay there for the same
reason, being a woman in such difficult times, I would simply be in danger, but
I would stay for a while to be able to make a comparison between the current
and ancient societies, and clearly enjoy with my own eyes the beauty that
radiated from the women of that time. In addition to the above, at this time
the Hangeul or Korean alphabet/script based on Chinese characters was created,
inquiring about this and how the people of that time managed to adapt to this
script is something that also generates in me the desire to travel to the past,
it is very fun to understand the origins of things and how the human being
adapts to that.
I never heard about the Joseon dynasty before, it looks pretty interesting:)
